No Problem Houston
Finally decided to binge through Survivor Season 40 and have one episode left I think. I had brought this with me on the trip to Asia, but didn’t get to it as well as several movies I’d have to re-rent from our travel entertainment list. This series includes only previous winners from prior seasons. Boston Rob is even one of the competitors. What a character! It’s entirely baffling watching all these pros go at it together. What else is new? I’m saving for two trips on the horizon. Greyhound bus has cancelled my tickets due to the city of St. Augustine not renewing their contract despite Greyhound teaming up with Flix bus. I wrote the city manager offended by him apparently calling the service a pipeline for homeless people. This is the most horrible news and I’ve been scrambling to find an alternative. It’s going to cost me hundreds just to finish the trips I already have planned. I’ll let you know if I confirm a good way to get to the airport or Jacksonville for less than an arm and a leg, but so far I’ve rented a pickup truck to see Jerry Seinfeld and bought an Amtrak ticket to get me closer to home at the beginning of next year after the trip to Germany, Dubai and Miami. That’s right- I’ll be spending New Year’s Eve in Miami this year if all goes as scheduled and riding the train on New Year’s Day. I really enjoyed catching up on albums this last trip and realize there is more music than I can comprehend in all styles. I just heard a new single by Chvrches last night who made a music video to “Over” completed over the holidays. How did I miss Quest for Fire released by Skrillex on February 17th and Don’t Get Too Close released a day after? I guess he wasn’t on any billboards big enough in Tokyo. Metallica is also putting out a new one on April 14th entitled 72 Seasons. Single available now (video links to YouTube). Finally can we wait for Dave Matthews Band’s Walk Around the Moon on May 19th? I’m listening to “Madman’s Eyes” for the first time right now on their YouTube channel.
Actually I’ll have to take two government bus services on April 5th and try to hang out around the town next to Jacksonville International Airport. There is a movie theater and a Walmart in which I could walk from in order to still get there on time to be early enough for a 5:45am flight. This is the new list I’ll update until departure for entertainment accompanying our 2023 adventure of Houston starting on April 6th.
